Anyway, for me the reason I was uninterested in the "metaverse" was just how dull and corporate it looked. They made a virtual world more boring than the real world. Why would I want to spend time there?

VRChat is successful partly because you can make your avatar look like whatever crazy thing you want. It seems inevitable that the corporation that pushed realname social media hardest would fumble this.
