Show HN: DashMap – A dash cam navigation app
apps.apple.com
The other day I was stuck in traffic, and I looked around and couldn't help myself notice the following. The cars next to me all have the same things -- dash cam and phone for navigation. I thought, why not just one of them?
Introducing DashMap, a dash cam app with turn-by-turn navigation. No more pulling out micro SD card or connecting to the dash cam's wifi when there's an accident. Just stop recording and your video is there.
Renting a car when you travel overseas? All you need is to bring your phone holder and voila. If you have an accident, simply just show the video to local police.
Uber drivers who are afraid of drunk riders? You can use the front facing camera.
Simplicity is our goal. We know that some dash cams have more features like 24/7 recording, but all of these come with costs like killing your car's battery. We want to deliver an integrated user experience for our users that even your grandma knows how to use it.
Check it out and would love to hear your comments.
