The problem with sticky menus and what to do instead

Most menus on mobile sites are useless anyway. I just want to read an article and leave. It's a random site for me, possibly linked on HN or by a search engine. I remove the menu with uBlock Origin just in case I'm back following another random link in future.

Reader Mode is another lifesaver here.

Other alternatives: save as ePub (if your browser supports it), which nukes virtually all site design, or using an article-archival service such as Pocket (which includes Reader Mode via the Readability.js library).
