As a name, Lachesis would have made more sense too.

I don't think it is a brand name. A naming committee is naming genes with simple names

Since this is HN, isn't someone obligated to say that they've tried klotho for a few years with their klotho delivery startup they founded?

I googled "buy klotho" and was half expecting results. There's so many vendors of bootleg peptides but I guess those are easy to make with the new fangled peptide printers

The secreted isoform of Klotho has ~550 amino acid residues, so synthesis by printing is not very feasible.
