The privacy sandbox does severely limit tracking too. Essentially any tracking done within the sandbox is not possible to be on an individual basis because the API surface is too constrained. Still “tracking”, but tracking a generalised abstract version of someone that looks a bit like you, rather than you specifically.
At least that’s my rough understanding. I’m fairly privacy conscious and don’t have a particular problem with the privacy sandbox, I think it’ll significantly increase the privacy of most users.
