Wasn't initially planning it, but I'm going to start bulk deleting old comments.

Takes about 2 minutes to arrange by the looks of it. [0]

Wonder if they'll restore it. If they're following their own reddiquette then they won't, but can't say I have any faith in Reddit Inc left

They're undeleting deleted comments

I'm aware. Will just see how it goes

Rate limit your requests; if you get 403 forbidden responses, you're editing and deleting too fast.

Didn't need to. Shreddit is point & shoot idiot proof

Though you do need to give it access to your account via auth which many probably won't like

If they restore the comments I'll look at something more sophisticated like editing with PRAW.

What? How is that remotely OK?

It’s not. They’ve gone off the deep end

This is the most egregious part imo.

I don’t think that they are, though that was my initial thought. I am seeing comments come back in waves. I think it’s from subreddits re-opening.

I’ve seen some speculation they’ve been doing DB rollbacks for one reason or another which, intentionally or unintentionally, brings back your comments

I mass deleted all of my comments a few weeks ago, and some of them reappeared about a week later.

Does it help to edit first?

just edit all your comments to basically say fuck Reddit and fuck spez at the end of the original comment, and either way you win. If everyone does that comment value goes down or Reddit deletes your comments.

I used Redact, which was excellent

Consider reddit.com/r/redditseppuku

don't delete them, just copypasta the story of Streetlamp Le Moose. let's make this a thing.
