Chinese Telegraph Code

I like how the image there https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Obsolete_chinese_telegrap... is very reminiscent of the Unicode tables, except it's 150 years old.

Chinese expert telegraphers used to remember several thousands of codes of the most frequent use.

The next time someone asks me how I manage to remember (most of) ASCII, I'll humbly point them to this page and this quote.
