This Year I Tried to Teach Myself Math. How Did It Go?

Took me a while to realize that the elite college math books are terrible to learn from, and that having two or three textbooks is useful.

Also, as taught in university, most of the harder problems are done in groups, which is how you really learn math; you spend hours doing all the problem sets and explaining then to your friends. Hard to bring that that model to online

for what is is worth, it helps to have some sort of objective or something you want to investigate: do you want to learn about primes, machine learning, etc?
