I know the Russian army (including Wagner) is bogged down in Ukraine and losses were high but what are the chances of a mercenary based coup?

If Putin gets desperate wouldn't he just start using heavy weapons? Doesn't Russia have a history of disregarding their own populations lives?

Maybe so but unlike the russian population at least he's trying. He's our best chance to see Putin's lifeless body hanging from a spire

Maybe they are betting that putin can’t use nukes because it would imply Article 5, and that the Russian army is spread too thin for them to curb their uprising.

But take everything I said with a grain of salt, I know nothing of geopolitics or russian culture.

I meant carpet bombing and other things like that.

I think more of the russian people.

It's one thing to trick them to believe Ukraine is full of Nazis, it's another thing to claim bombing Russians is protecting Russians.

After nearly 4 years working on generating fake news, operating an army of fake accounts with a few dozen of more "real" like accounts, running an online newspaper that is the fifth most visited online newspaper in it's country (and I don't even speak it's language), let me tell you something that is the only thing you need to know when you are browsing the web - don't believe anything you are reading online.
