I mean this is why the phrase “regulations are written in blood” exists. People are not able to remain moral when faced with the debate between revenue and doing what’s best for human beings. You have to force them to do it (and they’ll complain about them forever).
If we didn’t have regulations on who can build a plane and to what specifications, those things would be falling out of the sky on a weekly basis.
Very interesting data points with this article. Just happened across Rush’s linkedin page earlier and he has an undergrad degree in aerospace engineering and an mba. In my opinion he is just barely crossing the “line” here with innovation and business versus solid engineering principles.
I personally think this sub is lacking in safety and navigation features but it is “cool” in some areas of innovation. But technical innovation is not always needed.
