Intel agrees to invest $25B in Israeli chip manufacturing plants

Its incredible the lengths that the US will go for Israel considering they've lost their inhouse chip manufacturing advantage and their politicians have been scrambling to bring next gen fab manufacturing to Texas

You think this is some conspiracy of the U.S government? e.g Intel and other major corporations are not making independent financial decisions?

Intel is spreading their capital investment around to the US and other friendly countries. They also recently announced a Fab in Germany.

Never gonna happen. Some PR bullshit announced by Netanyahu. Intel is in no position to stand up a chip manufacturing industry and start building manufacturing plants in countries that have no chip manufacturing capability at all.

Israel has a number of fabs, and Intel itself operates a number of fabs .. ?

Intel already manufactures more chips in Israel than any other country apart from the US.
