That moment when you realise that working in an office is designed to suck every cent out of your pocket. Pay for commuting or expensive nearby rents, pay for food, pay for clothes, pay for body and mental health caused by the grind. The cost of having an onsite job is too damn high. Salaries look great on paper but in reality you are not better off than some dude somewhere earning half but living in a house if their own, with a land to put their feet on and a family to raise, while your best hope is not getting dementia at old age thanks to all the pollution you’ve inhaled just so some insecure bro can have a lame office chat with fake smiles and ignorant topics.
> “Commercial real estate is melting down fast,” Elon Musk of Tesla and Twitter recently warned. He wasn't exaggerating: Non-residential landlords across the country owe a staggering $1.5 trillion by the end of 2025.
Maybe someone who has stopped paying rent on multiple offices shouldn't be the one to talk here?
