I got a vague feeling like that in the last few days after seeing the trend of HN posts on the front page.

Have not been following GPT news or developments or HN threads about them, almost at all, right from the time they became a hot topic, so sorry if this is already known stuff and ny question is redundant.

Nah. A few persons have tried but after a few posts the hivemind detect them and downvote. Perhaps the mods have some additional tools.

Have you spotted some case in particular?

No, it was only a gut feel.

I've seen many attempts to spam with less powerful tools for years, like translating to another language and back to English, manual rewrite, plain cut&paste, hiring "content" creators, and idiots just writing stuff.

just post good stuff, upvote good stuff, go to https://news.ycombinator.com/newest to find underappreciated gems.

When you get enough karma, flag bad articles, but not too much. And if you see some weird pattern, send an email to the mods, they usually reply soon.
