Ask HN: Google search type changing order all the time?

I've noticed that the type of search you want to conduct on google (Search, Images, Shopping, News, etc) keeps changing order, but over the past weeks it has been dramatic.

This has been going on for years, but since the new redesign the last month, I've had to witness this monstrosity[0], where I just wanted an image (Afbeelding), but clicked on Sign in (Inloggen) on accident. Not sure what Sign in has to do with that search anyway.

Has anyone else been noticing this and if so, does anyone find this remotely useful?
