Lately he's just a person on a recliner whining about the world. This doesn't discredit his ideas, mind you, I actually agree with a lot. But there's no more special sauce...anyone could make ranting videos from their recliner. I find the whole format incredibly bizarre and unprofessional...
Mind you, I don't disagree with you, I feel the same way, I'm exploring why the format is just off somehow.
Just... Odd.
Much like many meetings should be an email, many youtube videos should be 400-800 word essays. If you're going to present that sort of information in an audio-visual form you need add some value above and beyond just the words you say, and I don't feel he does that.
I feel the same way several channels I subscribe to, like Gamers Nexus. Every time I watch one of their videos, I always come away thinking "that was some pretty useful information, I'm really glad they put in the work to make it available, I really wish I could have read it in a blog post"
