Reddit Says 80% of Top Forums Online After Days of API Protest

To me, this reads as Reddit's costs being extremely inefficient on the backend.
Kind of wonder if there's some stuff there that should have been consolidated/optimised a bunch and they've just not done it.
Edit: It looks like a couple paragraphs are still left out. Can someone with a Bloomberg account confirm?

That one seems to have the complete article content, but a few seconds after loading the page a middle-of-the-screen dialog appears saying:

That dialog doesn't function properly, so doesn't go away. :/
