Are You a Software Engineer or a Framework Implementor?

Followup questions for Alabhya:

* are you a software engineer, or a "script implementor" because you use Node.js instead of writing C?

* are you a software engineer, or an "ELF implementor" when you use binaries compiled by tools instead of hex-editing them together?

Knowing how these things work is valuable, but this air of superiority is garbage. I've seen a lot more systems wrecked by folks who were very proud of their "Software Engineering" of a hacked-together incomprehensible mess "because frameworks are just TOO LIMITING" than the contrary.
