The Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani seems to have gotten butt hurt by Sam Altman's comment and promised him a rebuttal soon in the form of an Indian alternative to ChatGPT!

As a former Techmightie, can confirm that TechM has the knack for attracting some of the best IT talent in India. These are the guys who maintain the real time systems of some of the top global Telcos like BT and AT&T. But AI is a whole different evolving field and I'm not sure that company has the structural capacity to come up with something like this. Though there are hundreds of engineers sitting on the bench in their Pune campus who I'm sure can be put to good use now!
