A god damn Godzilla TV series.
That or a Trespasser-like game.
Has Apple TV improved?
Are you just complaining about Ted Lasso and how the show was a little too campy in the last season and how they dared to address racism and homophobia in a few episodes and you think they are not important? If anything the bigger complaint is that they introduced those plot points only to quickly forget them.
I find the shows in general surprisingly good for a relatively new service. Silo, Foundation, mythic quest, Severance, The After-party, Invasion, City on Fire, See, etc have all been great. If there is one complaint, they seem to have a strict "Foul language and graphic violence are ok, but absolutely no nudity" rule. Ruined a plot line a little bit in Platonic, where it was plainly obvious the characters were going to find out a way to not go to a strip club, despite discussing the logistics for like five minutes.
> inevitably the social justice is layered on so heavily that it becomes the plot
Which is both a specific criticism that might be worth exploring and surprising given shows like Foundation, See, Silo, and Severance. It doesn’t make any sense to me unless the only show they’ve seen is Ted Lasso or it’s a dog whistle (hate to Godwin it but that’s the first thing that came to mind given some of the cast diversity).
If so, would it be economically viable? What could one charge for such an experience?
I have no idea what the camera systems for VR content are or will be but I imagine that a Mac Pro loaded with several video capture cards and high speed PCIe 4 SSDs would make an ideal capture system.
Now imagine what would be required to stream a live sporting event in 4k VR. How many different cameras, angles, etc. are there in a production like that? How many racked Mac Pros would that require?
