Seems to me like TikTok is more of a symptom than a cause, here. The behaviour he describes sounds a lot like depression.

I dropped off facebook and reddit recently, best thing I ever did for my mental health.

Humanity is lost with social media. The internet is in want of a hard delete.

I must admit, part of me is hoping the latest shenanigans with reddit lead to its demise, I spend way too much time on it.
