You can game Amazon's rakings a bit by submitting your product to an obscure category and becoming a "#1 Best Seller" overnight. This book seems to have cornered the Chemical Cosmetics category, beating out a dozen or so soap making books.
At this juncture, I can't help but mention the novel "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind about a perfumer of extraordinary but also devious and murderous talents during 18th century France.
