"knowledge is concentrated in the bleeding edge" the idea of hiring a PhD student to help you get up to speed was brilliant. I would really like to see where these brex guys will land.

Yet it's worthy considering many of my friends who moved to silicon valley, worked their asses off for a good salary but had a hard time creating a sustainable business. I would say around 1 in 20 startups gets profitable at the end. Would love to see how good are your chances economically to profit better in SV than competing with your local market in another city

Interesting point. It makes me wonder, do having only experience in SV tech scene make you a worse entrepreneur than someone who has experience elsewhere where making a business sustainable earlier is necessary?
