What on earth is the thesis of this article? Sure, HoloLens demoed similar features. But they never got there in reality. Apple will consistently grow this until the third gen is mind blowing, and it won't take seven years.
Yeah it’s like saying the apple iPod ripped off the creative nomad jukebox.
Articles like this can just be flagged and ignored as low quality ad clickbait imo. Someone will always write one.
LOL whatever the author says Microsoft would not care about a single bit about it. Microsoft knew many years ago this is a difficult product to develop, and they stopped putting significant amount of effort into it. Microsoft probably expects that almost everyone has forgotten that it even exists. Except this author tries to make a big deal out of this "comparison".
The hololens gave me the straight-out-of-science-fiction- vibe but then MS coudn't or didn't want to deliver more afterwards.
Sounds like something from /r/PCMasterRace
Not fair to say a passthrough device is ripping off a holographic waveguide/birdbath type device. These are very different things.
Sure. And in some way, the iPhone also ripped off Windows Mobile/CE.
