Ukraine dam supplying water to nuclear plant and Crimea is breached

It been matter of time. Talks of blowing-up the dam been going around for months. Russia waited till the Ukrainian counteroffensive would begin. It shows that Russians are so desperate to come to some sort of negotiation as to cause massive ecological disaster, cause irreparable damages (billions of dollars to build a new dam), possibly even disrupting water supply to Crimea and possibly damaging the nuclear plant that is downstream.

Ukraine's security services have for quite some time warned that Russia was going to do that.

> I would like to draw your attention to the plans of the Kiev regime to destroy the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam in Kherson province. In particular, Ukrainian forces are considering launching sea mines downstream the Dnieper River or a massive missile strike. We are also registering air strikes targeting the locks of the electric power station with the intention to raise the river level.

While we can all appreciate that video out of Ukraine is "Hollywood level", the real world isn't a super hero movie set.

The crowd in Washington DC isn't like it was in the 80s and 90s. The notion that they've actually got a grip on things and Ukraine is going to go the way they want.. yeah..
