Logging Personal Data Matters Now More Than Ever for LLMs
Hear me out. Large Language Models (LLMs) are getting more advanced, and rumors are circulating about major tech companies (like Apple) stepping into the AI journaling game. While this news is exciting, it also underscores the urgency of adapting our practices now to better interact with our future AI companions.
Why start logging personal info/data?
Better Interaction with AI: LLMs learn from your inputs to create a customized, dynamic interaction. The more consistent and detailed our logs are, the more context and personalization the AI can bring to our conversations.
Chronological Self-Reflection: Keeping a regular log of our thoughts and ideas creates a rich, chronological record that's not only beneficial for AI interaction but also serves as a powerful tool for personal growth and self-reflection. Question based AI can help us dig deeper into our minds to ensure greater detail is added to our timeline.
Future Proofing: With rumors of big tech stepping into AI journaling, now is the time to cultivate this habit. Those who adapt early will be better prepared for seamless interaction with future AI tools and companions.
As someone who's spent some time working with conversational AI tools (bias alert!), I can't emphasize enough how much value this habit can bring. I've personally seen how logging our data can improve our interactions with AI and offer a unique perspective on our own growth and evolution.
What are your thoughts on personal data logging as preparation for the coming AI revolution?
