Ford CEO says EV cost parity may not come until after 2030

Parity will arrive because ICE vehicles will get more expensive. I'd be very surprised if manufacturers would give up any of that addictive profit.

They might have to to compete with Chinese EVs.

What makes you think that ? At the moment the electric cars are much more expensive than their ICE counterparts for the same features ( size, options).

At this rate given the inventory of Fords sitting on lots from 2022 they can't sell because of prices, Ford will be lucky to exist in 2030, especially with the coming global depression.

"for many automakers" being the key qualification.

Sounds like an opportunity for the others.
