The DEI Industry Needs to Check Its Privilege

Indeed.
"These riots really shouldn't surprise you. It is hard to know exactly who is responsible for these sad changes to America, but it is easy to see who is benefiting from them. They are the same people lecturing you about white privilege and systemic racism.
"This isn't accidental. CitiBank is happy to put Black Lives Matter logos on their Instagram page precisely so you won't ask what interest rates they are charging black people. If you really cared about the poor, you wouldn't crush them with debt they can't afford to. Of course if you really cared about black lives, you wouldn't put abortion clinics in black neighborhoods but they do.
"These people are scam artists. They are playing you."
But no, the topic is just used as an exercise in the just world theory and a jumping board for justifying the different flavor of authoritarianism pushed by the "alternative" political party. And then tops it off with a nonsensical reference to abortion to continue preaching to its choir, as if saddling someone with an unwanted child is in any way caring about either of their lives.
Sorry, these "opposing" camps of political hacks support each other in yin-yang and your referencing of one is nothing but a contribution to the problem described in the article.
It happens, though I too wish that would happen more.
E.g. In 2020, right-wing Senator Rand Paul created the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, prohibiting no knock warrants. [1] Unfortunately, it got relatively little support.
There are legitimate issues with law enforcement practices, but unfortunately the Floyd case was popularized as a race war. The race angle is a false narrative aimed at stoking anger and controversy.

And that is exactly the crowd you chose to quote! Legitimate criticism squandered on bootstrapping more anti-productive culture war garbage. But tune in tomorrow at the same time to get riled up again. Tucker Carson is not some opposite of DEI grifters - rather they're both peas from the same damn pod.
Sure, there are tiny bits of principled actions in each party's muck (although I've seen far fewer principled actions from Rand Paul than I remember from his father). The problem is what is given play in the greater tribe, with the media and organizations leading them to stupid places. For example, what has the NRA said about Taylor or Locke, on what is essentially the most important second amendment issue of our time? Crickets! Because acknowledging the other team might have a point wouldn't sell memberships. But never forget, tHeY aRe cOmINg tO tAkE yOuR gUNs!
