Is there a way to get native shortcuts (eg ctrl w) and vs code extensions going in a setup like that?
Last I looked into this answer was no
if you run it as a browser app then yes
If so, then it is completely unusable.
Extensions are possible (our corp had an instance pre-setup for a specific project), and shortcuts work if under Chrome you click More Tools -> Create Shortcut -> Open as window.
