We have a developer contracting in South Asia. It's going well the only tricky part is money transfers. A lot gets eaten up in the conversion and transfer fees.
Have you considered Wise for low cost cross border payments? Christ, I sound like an advertisement...
You can also look at Rippling - though I'm not sure if they sell only the payments part or you have to buy in to the entire employee management suite (which is not bad BTW).
