Ask HN: What modern sites are masterpieces of design?

Are you talking about design as art i.e. the sites that look impressive but aren't very usable, or do you mean excellent UX?

I think of great design mostly as great UX. HN is pretty good. Google is pretty good. Airtable is pretty good.

You can check the Awwwards (https://www.awwwards.com/websites/nominees/) for some ideas about current web design.

Personally, I have no hard feelings about anything in particular since I mostly reminisce of old web trends, although, for example, I like some new websites that attempt brutalism (https://brutalistwebsites.com/)

This personal site never fails to impress me: https://bruno-simon.com
