It boggles my mind how frequently Google breaks old systems and asks their customers to move.

I can't understand the technical reason that Universal Analytics will stop working on July 1st.

Google takes for granted that customers will remain loyal during each migration.

I'm looking to migrate.

What analytics platform are you migrating to?

I stopped using GA (didn't want to bother updating) because of it. It's also unclear for me, but I assume their tracking snippet included some non-GDPR-compliant code that, by being inline, could not be solved by simply updating the contents of the remotely loaded JS file.

Just curious, what do you use for analytics now? I don't like GA; never have, since it's too complicated and I don't trust Google, so I'd be interested in knowing some alternatives.
