It uses ARM cores. I don't see how that is independent.
I don't think ARM could realistically prevent India from manufacturing the CPU, so the architecture probably isn't a barrier to independence. However the 5nm finfet node probably is. The article didn't make it clear but I'm not sure any fab in India can manufacture that kind of thing.

That matches the impressions of TSMC and Apple. The reason I recall is the unreliability of the infrastructure.
Lol what a joke, RISC-V is already out there & being worked on but these guys went with arm IP & still have this fetish to name everything after just one religion in a country with infinite religions & languages. Aum. BHIM(Govt's UPI app), Amrit kaal, to denote our current decade & the list is endless. Unashamed behaviour at its worst.
See you on Aum but,
BHIM?
Amrit Kamal? They are generic words in most of the languages Amrit is just the same with a variation.
BHIM =/= Bheem. Bheem is not some sacred character either, if you are talking about the Mahabharata character.
But anyway given the current govt and default assumption of national language being Hindi. I think the nomenclature policy is not gonna change.
That's the thing right, once in a few decades the % of population shifts of each community is enough at that point of time everyone will want importance to be given to their community for naming bridges, roads, buildings or products. And then the receding majority cannot concoct rules saying that things have to be secular & accommodating just because they're starting to get uneasy. Just look at the current state of affairs when you have fake gurus/religious leaders from all religions inaugurating tax payer funded institutions or projects, being given jungle tours at midnight or permission to construct tourist attractions over forest land. If it was someone from another religion asking the same permission or doing things like that it would have met with objections & laws that are actually in place to prevent such things...
