Except it isn't a mystery at all. The new owner is Ecology Auto Parts, who owns a fleet of over 600 trucks that haul away construction debris and green waste (biodegradable materials). https://ecoparts.com/

It isn't a huge logical leap to figure out what the old iron ore mines will be filled in with.

It's also near a RR track, and the Colorado River Aqueduct. Congress reduced the National Monument in size so Henry could mine there. Another story (with photos) on plans for the 1.5 mile by 0.5 mile open pit mine from 2014.

What kind of tax does a town owner need to pay? Property taxes? To whom would they owe the tax?

It's a ghost town, so I assume it would be whatever ghost owners pay.

More seriously, it's not a town at all, just a piece of property on unincorporated land. The taxes should be similar to other comparable properties.
