I'm surprised it took this long. If someone asked me two years ago what were the chances of a competitor posing a serious threat to Twitter, I would have said zero. Nowadays though, after seeing how much it has regressed with Elon's ownership, I'm much more convinced that we will see Twitter slowly descending into irrelevance as competitors pop up and bite chunks out of it.
Maybe they wanted to do it right. Given their massive userbase. Which is good.
