Agreed! Personal suggestion: try a bag of the Allegro Sumatra Boru Batak, likely available at your local Whole Foods for not too much. It's very different from the South American and African beans most of us are used to.

I wish there was a standard label for roasted coffee beans. Something that clearly specified the origin, process, roasting date, etc. I love natural processed brews but so many bags never mention it and just have fluffy words like 'fruity, citrus'.

Yep, no need to pay with an arm and a leg for rich-hipster coffee.
