This is a pretty clickbaity. Having a cell phone wouldn't have "stopped" that boy from being able to stop the bus. Why are we even posting such links here?
“Someone call 911! Now!” Dillon yelled as he brought the bus to a stop.
While the entire article is an exercise in bias, I do agree that it's nice not having a cellphone, and giving mine up was one of the most refreshing things I've ever done.
Better make sure to ban reading a book on the bus too then.
Oh good /r/phonesarebad is leaking here too
> While other students on the bus were engrossed with their devices, Dillon Reeves noticed the driver in distress and guided bus to safety
Heros do not use phones.
So, who would call emergency services if no one had a phone because every parent followed his parents' example?
Buses do have radios where one can contact dispatch and other drivers.
The adult chaperones?
Oh, I dunno, literally any human being near the bus as it came to a stop?
