Does anyone happen to know if such a key would work on a boot that was applied by a company outside Atlanta?

Get a cheap bic pen, the type with the white matt finish soft-ish plastic pen barrel. Remove the insides of the pen. Push the soft plastic barrel into the lock and wiggle it around a bit. The lock pins will press themselves into the the soft plastic until "click"! Works about 2/3 of the time. If pen barrel gets to messed up cut off the damaged area and try again.
