Development notes from xkcd's “Gravity” and “Escape Speed”

Escape Speed was fantastic. One of the rare games that gives a sense of quiet wonder and unanticipated discovery. Mechanics that are simple but deep. Felt like the early internet combined with the games I played as a kid in the best possible way.
