After the whole monkey-pox media scarefest last year, I'm going to need to hear about which communities are effected before I consider changes to my life.
Mpox showed signs of being a serious issue and did impact a significant number of people. No need to be dismissive.

Great reminder to wipe down gym equipment before use, even normal ring worm can be a large hassle.
And don't go barefoot in the locker room or shower.

Skin contact from someone infected? It can survive quite a while on surfaces.
Can it spread through water in the swimming pools?
Not if it is properly chlorinated. The bigger issue is the locker room showers etc...
