India seems increasingly terrifying illiberal. I can respect that they have problems & are in search of trying to be a higher trust society, but the man, they really don't seem very well aligned on open society western democratic ideals at the moment. They are sliding every other way.
India is getting liberal, its just that it faces resistance from certain sections of society who cling to old values, which is a normal part of change, but eventually it will definitely be closer to the West.
