The word 'pants' doesn't appear in the article, nor does the word 'dress' for that matter. I think the headline is bullshit. I really doubt they are requiring pants. It would be a senseless invitation for lawsuits.

As you're rereading TFA, you might be surprised to learn that the headline is not representative of what Dell actually said.

(This, of course, will not be surprising at all for regular readers of The Reg.)

The headline implies people work with fewer or zero clothes when working from home.

Since this is an article in The Register, the obvious double entendre is the implied reference to underpants, as opposed to trousers.

So obviously, folks could still wear pants under their kilt, but what to wear on non Kilt days?
