Just Wasted $200 on Reliablesite.net

So, some background, I'm doing some experimenting w/ capturing the desktop video in a WebRTC session for some remote desktop work / light game streaming, and have been experimenting w/ various service providers who offer GPUs.

I was under the impression (or just forgot to ask) that most of these providers offer a fit-Headless GS device to emulate a 2nd screen, so you can get display output from the GPU.

After spending hours setting up this machine, I then realized that sending video output via the GPU is not something they support, so I'm wondering if I could actually just file a dispute on the payment.

Regardless, lesson learned, but pisses me off.

I think this one is on you and it is a $200 lesson. You might be able to get your money back if you make dealing with your less of a hasel/cheaper than refunding your $200 but do you really want to become one of those people who finds a way to weasel their way out of their own mistakes instead of learning from them? It does not hurt to just ask, tell them that you made an faulty assumption and they might give you back some or all of your money but don't try and make it out to be their fault or it may very well become a habit in life.

Update: After implementing a virtual monitor via software, I'm able to use the GPU and the performance seems reasonable.

So it's 100% your fault, yet you want to hurt them by filing a dispute? Complete asshole move in my opinion

What OS? Maybe there could be a virtual screen you could “screen share”

Windows, mostly for gaming, and I am not sure if I can get GPU to kick in otherwise.
