Come on now, I expect HN to be less clickbait-friendly?
Also we are all aware we don't live in a perfect world, aren't we? That article, while factually correct (with some elaborations, like the one I made), is worthless because if another pandemic happens we still can't distribute the right masks to the populace. And trying to badmouth people who question the studies you agree with is just petty.
As such, it comes across as a "I told you so!" thing. Meh. I went and wanted to get information, and I only got someone's rant. I regret wasting the time reading it.
I went to the drug store and I purchased some cheap Chinese paper masks for like $20 for a box of 50. The only thing I expected them to do was to keep me from being ejected from the bus or public buildings while I went about my daily business. Mission accomplished.
