I would say that, "Maybe I'm just getting old," but when I actually look at the humans on Facebook "interacting" with "content" they are all decades older than me. More and more Meta reminds me of QVC.

If you want to prey on seniors, if you want to run an MLM or affiliate marketing ring, or if you want to organize an insurrection or promote a conspiracy or antivax group Facebook Groups is THE PLACE. By absolute volume it's way worse the Telegram groups. Old people can't figure out Telegram, but Facebook Groups is their jam.
If you really want to make "six figures online" while working "four hours a week" all you need is a scammer mentality and a few Facebook Groups. Message me for access when you're ready to level up your life.

This is a lot to accuse without any evidence. Is there empirical data showing that these issues are as rampant as you claim? I have similar anecdata to the parent post - Groups/Marketplace/Messenger has been great for my family and friends, across a wide range of interests and use cases.
My take is that if you intentionally look for terrible things on the internet you'll be able to find it, and Facebook is no exception. It's non-sensical to think that organizing insurrections and losing your SSN is the de facto experience though.
