This info is valuable. I subscribe to a lot of software's release notes, which very frequently have RSS feeds.
Unfortunately too many don't do that. I have many release notes in my change detection service so I find out that way.
For what it's worth -- for use with the Fedora messaging system, but perhaps that could be replaced in another instance -- there's also https://release-monitoring.org/
I like this, will add it to Company Research Kit, a collection of competitive research resources that I created. I'm familiar with various website monitoring tools, but so far, I've seen none that would look strictly at software versions. Thanks for this post.
Link to your research kit?
I’m also keen to know what else is in this kit? Thanks.
Reminds me of GitPunch and newreleases.io
Interesting product! I’ve been looking at competitive intelligence tools for a bit. What’s your pricing model?
