Why do people pretend like Chegg is an educational site that exists for any purpose other than cheating? The entire point of Chegg is to look at the answers. It got big because when you search a question, word for word, it comes up in Chegg's database and is linked to by Google. I know of absolutely zero use of Chegg other than renting access to answer sheets. Of course chatGPT is going to disrupt the market of letting students cheat on their homework.
Counterpoint: I used it to learn by following the step by step explanations. With enough problems complete, I would know every pattern. That's not to say that GPT can't do that too.
n+1. Most people are just going to cheat because people generally prefer instant gratification. This is just how they've legitimized the existence of it.
