After 16 years in development, MaidSAFE is finally getting close to launch

Disclosure - I just love the tech. I don’t have any MaidSAFE nor am I part of their team. I just happened to meet them the same way I met TimBL with SoLiD and the guys behind Discourse forums and other projects. They did the first ICO ever btw, and for the right reasons.

Ever since Freenet and PerfectDark, we needed a truly autonomous and resilient network. Tor has one node hosting a site, so it’s vulnerable to takedowns of information. IPFS is still too “manual” and you can DDOS all the nodes hosting a file. This might become a game changer. You can see me arguing w the team a few years back:
