Just use Everything (https://www.voidtools.com/), so much better than Windows Search.

The latest version supports searching file contents now, though it's slow because the contents isn't indexed.

my favorite FOSS goto for searching contents in Windows is AstroGrep - https://astrogrep.sourceforge.net

It doesn’t seem to index either, though?

I normally use Notepad++’s Find in Files feature, which covers most cases, and also supports replacing.
