Ask HN: How prepared are we to rebuild civilization from scratch?

Considering the potential consequences of global conflicts, how well-equipped are we to restart civilization from the ground up? What resources and knowledge would be essential to transition from a hunter-gatherer society (assuming this as the default human organization) to a technologically advanced civilization? How can we ensure effective communication of agricultural knowledge and what key steps would be necessary to progress from basic survival to innovations like digital computers?

Is there any literature around this? Are there organizations working on this?
