I keep a Win11 partition now for gaming. I make it boot right into Steam, bypassing explorer.exe. It’s great. It’s basically an Xbox at that point.

That sounds awesome. How do you do that?

You can modify the registry to change the "shell" from explorer to something else.

`HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon`, edit the 'Shell' entry (or add it) as a string pointing to another executable.
